Sponsor a School: Connecting Education and Working Life

One of the core visions behind planCoo has always been to create an ecosystem for collaboration and project management across academia, companies, public institutions, and geographical boundaries.

We believe stronger relationships create better projects. Students should have more opportunities to collaborate with businesses, and companies should find it easier to connect with future talent. Schools, universities, and industry all benefit when they work closer together.

That is why we work to keep educational access affordable and help school administration get started. But affordability is not the end of our ambition.

Our goal is not simply to make planCoo affordable for schools. Our goal is to make it free.

Free for the school does not mean there is no cost. It means finding partners who can help cover it.

The Idea Behind Sponsor a School

To move towards that goal, we are developing an initiative called Sponsor a School.

The idea is simple: a company, Erasmus+ consortium, municipality, foundation, or other organization sponsors a school's access to planCoo. The sponsor funds the agreed platform access, while the school gains a structured environment for project-based learning.

Students gain experience with professional project tools. Teachers can organize activities, responsibilities, and milestones. External partners can collaborate with the school where both sides choose to do so.

More Than Software

Many companies already support schools, entrepreneurship programs, student activities, and local communities. Sponsor a School is intended to turn that support into an opportunity for lasting connections between education and working life.

When a school chooses to share projects publicly, sponsors can explore those projects and learn about the initiatives, challenges, and ideas that engage students. Where there is mutual interest, a sponsorship could become the starting point for:

  • Mentorship programs and guest lectures
  • Innovation challenges and entrepreneurship initiatives
  • Internships and future recruitment
  • Research collaboration and joint projects

These are possibilities, not obligations or guaranteed outcomes. The relationship can grow naturally, on terms that work for the school and its partners.

Sponsorship is not an access permission. Funding a school's access does not grant access to private projects or student information. Schools and project owners retain control over membership and project visibility; individual users control their own profile visibility. Any additional collaboration requires the appropriate invitation and permissions.

Learning Project Work in Practice

We are also developing new ways for students to practise project work. One example is the Project Intelligence Challenge, currently in preview.

Students work in teams on realistic AI-generated project scenarios. A teacher or facilitator introduces updates, and teams practise planning, prioritization, collaboration, and decision-making as the exercise unfolds.

They use the same planCoo environment they can later use for real projects, rather than a separate classroom simulation. Sponsoring access can therefore support both practical training and ongoing project work.

Visible Support, With the School's Agreement

As part of the initiative, we want participating schools to be able to acknowledge their sponsor on a public planCoo organization profile, if they choose to publish one.

A future acknowledgement could say:

This school's planCoo environment is supported by Nordic Future Technologies.

This is an illustrative example, not an announced partnership. Recognition could include the sponsor's logo, description, website, and a short explanation of the partnership, subject to agreement with the school.

The purpose is transparency and recognition, not access to students or a requirement to make their work public. Public planCoo profiles and project pages can be shared by link; they are not intended for search-engine indexing.

A Natural Fit for Community and Erasmus+ Initiatives

The concept is not limited to private companies. An Erasmus+ consortium could support participating schools. A municipality could sponsor schools in its region. A foundation could support programs focused on entrepreneurship, sustainability, or innovation.

The objective remains the same: reduce barriers to collaboration, increase participation, and strengthen connections between education and society.

For Erasmus+ projects, any sponsorship would need to fit the consortium's funding conditions and institutional requirements. planCoo supports project work and collaboration; it does not replace official EU systems or reporting obligations. Read our Erasmus+ disclaimer.

Building Stronger Ecosystems

planCoo is a Collaborative Ecosystem Platform. We focus not only on projects, but on the relationships around them: students, teachers, schools, companies, researchers, and public institutions.

Sponsor a School extends that vision. The sponsor is not simply funding software; it can help sustain a place where learning and real collaboration happen over time.

Some schools will fund access themselves. Others may receive support through businesses, municipalities, foundations, or international projects. What matters is creating more opportunities to work together.

Join the Initiative

If your organization would like to sponsor a school, or your school would like to explore sponsored access, we would love to hear from you.

Contact us about Sponsor a School. Tell us which school or region you have in mind, approximately how many participants would need access, and the period you would like to support. We can then discuss the scope and next steps together.

Together, we can help make collaboration more accessible for the next generation.
